After a series of defeats, Renold somehow managed to snatch a couple of victories against clearly superior opponents. Nevertheless, the burden of the recent duels was becoming increasingly heavy, and even timely treatment from the doctor could no longer restore his former strength. Thanking his latest opponent, Renold slowly left the arena and settled down near the nearest tree, stretching his legs and rubbing his wounded, hastily bandaged hands. Spotting his sister, he smiled at her, but she just huffed indignantly and turned away. Apparently, she was still upset about a minor incident after the match with Shino.
Renold tried to estimate in his mind the chances of not being among the weakest fighters, but in the heat of the "training," he couldn't keep track of the results of other matches. Of course, such an unexpected success would inspire him, and missing a whole week wasn't something he looked forward to, but even in the event of a defeat, he would be with his sister and could support her in a difficult moment. Thus, the young man happily concluded that any outcome of today would be a positive result for him and would give him additional confidence and combat experience.
