- I remember a mind-blowing episode from the last festival. There's a stake driven into the ground, and people are brought to it in pairs — the point being that one of them will be impaled on it, and the other will be sent back to the farm. I was fortunate to hear and witness many hysterics and scandals, but my favorite was when two lovers were brought. The man volunteered himself, and while he was slowly and agonizingly dying, he asked his other half to hold his hands, and they held them until he expired. You never get bored with people.
