Revan, please explain to me why such a combat ability is considered a spell, when it's actually just a regular arrow shot from a bow?
Because the bow is magical (you even described it that way yourself) and it has a spell imbued into it.
So we're talking about lightning. If I shoot lightning, it's logical that I'll get lightning in the face. But the preemptive strike works with regular arrows.
If the preemptive strike were to shoot lightning, then yes, I'd agree to leave everything as is, but I demand that I be awarded the victory over Candle in the tournament.
