You can move up to 2 tiles (e.g., one tile up, one tile sideways), and you can attack if you have a spear or something else with a range of 2. You can't attack with swords, axes, etc., that have a range of 1.
In that case, I'll probably stand two tiles to the right of the green A. If I approach the Mikuite, the guy with the spear will reach me and hit me with an ability that lowers defense, and then some jerk will finish me off. But then again, maybe the Mikuite will get hit...
