This whole situation kind of ruined my mood. Had I not known otherwise, I'd have thought the flying players took advantage of the alliance, realizing that only one of them has any real chance of winning.
There's still a microscopic chance that a non-flyer wins, but it's exactly that — microscopic. It hits motivation to fight, which takes a ton of time and effort, pretty hard. =\
To take advantage of a situation, you need to know about it in advance.
I see what crap is flowing through the pipes, and I don't like it. If Nebok agrees and Geroyist hasn't changed his mind, I agree to play on the pegasus under tournament rules, provided that absolutely all NPCs die, including the "friendly" ones and the Astral ones.
No idea how to justify this in terms of common sense in the chronicles, but if it's a choice between chairs like: "tournament win is a guaranteed thing, but everyone is demoralized about playing in the expo" versus "the strongest and the survivor wins, everyone happily keeps playing" — I'll choose the second. But if after the cancellation everyone unanimously and joyfully rushes to counter me as a mob, then I'll be the one to go screw myself.
