The AI rule violation detector identifies rule violations in a game thread where, for example, violence against fictional characters is discussed and described. If the AI continues to do this, it will flag every other message in the game, especially those containing battle scenes and the like.
I also noticed that in private messages, the "Inbox" tab doesn't work, and in the "Sent" tab, replies to my sent messages are shown instead of my own messages.
What worked well against spam indeed requires more careful tuning for game threads. I updated the instructions for the AI and added context so it takes into account which subforum and thread the message is in. Let's see how this works; we'll adjust further if needed.
Regarding the private message user interface, I think the cause might be incomplete loading of scripts for that page. Currently, there are no notifications if a web page or some required file is not fully loaded, only if you go to the browser console and check for errors. I'll try to add some protection so that if something fails to load and the site can detect it, it will prompt a reload. That is, simply reloading the page should help, preferably with a one-time cache clear. If that doesn't help, more details are needed—what browser, any errors—preferably send a report via "Report a Problem" at the bottom of the site or in the menu under the avatar "Report a Problem," which transmits browser information.
After clearing the cache and reloading, the private message issue persists. I tried it in Firefox and Chrome.
Also, one more thing. Instead of usernames in PMs, user numbers are shown. It would be nice to see the username, with the number in parentheses.
In general, I completely removed the old PM system 🙂
It's time to switch to something more convenient; I think it shouldn't be too different from the forum.
So the new PM system = Private threads between two participants, with a contact list on the left, most of the regular forum thread features preserved.
