If you throw, for example, a pumpkin onto an empty cell or a nearby "non-ally" and in doing so hit Lady Frost (or her ally), does that count as an "attack on the character" (or ally)?
Revan already answered above that the pumpkin is considered the aggressor. Unless you mean a pumpkin with direct damage, rather than "inflicts burn on all in radius."
