Well, I thought there was a choice to fight with or without animals. I asked Revan if I could choose whether the NPCs would fight Candle on foot or not. He said there was no choice at all, and everyone who has animals fights on them.
So we can't just dismount from the beast during battle so the NPC gets increased damage and accuracy against us? Nice setup, of course...
