Getting horse equipment is not a problem; no one prevents you from changing gear during battles (except that it's a hassle for whoever counts them), especially when you have a lord at hand whom you only need to ask (unless you have Carnea — she'll first do that thing to you with that horse).
Observing the battles and especially the actions of potential opponents, Axel decides to change something in his equipment. The Knight went to Mariarnelia.

I thought we already agreed not to dismount them for the duration of the tournament. In general, FOR THE FUTURE — you can dismount or mount by spending a turn, and then control them separately.
/ But did we agree not to dismount? I remember there was just a discussion about whether riders would be on mounts or not. Everyone unanimously agreed that they would be. It wasn't said that they couldn't dismount, or did I forget/miss that point? /
