05.03.297 — tournament in honor of the birthday of Deus Mariarnelia
Round 2, fight 1.
Milord Axel Von Himmel V vs. Milady Alsira Vecchi d'Arcréde
Barely had the battle begun when Alsira took the first hit from Axel. Meanwhile, the knight's wyvern unsuccessfully attempted to wound the pegasus Luna.
Taking advantage of the girl's pause to restore her health, Axel seriously wounded her steed with an arrow shot from his bow. Realizing she was losing her advantage, the Knight of the Moon Shadow tried to attack the wyvern, but the beast dodged.
Catching up to Alsira, Axel tried to attack her directly, but the girl managed to dodge. Luna, however, not only took the wyvern's attack but also caught fire from it. The pegasus's fate was already sealed.
Having lost her steed, the Knight of the Moon Shadow, in a fury, inflicted a bleeding wound on the wyvern, which soon finished the beast as well. Having lost their mounts, the knights clashed in single combat.
In a series of unsuccessful exchanges of blows, the Knight of the Gloomy Sky wounded the Moon Shadow, forcing her to waste time on a healing elixir. The duelists continued dodging each other until Alsira once again took a hit.
The girl retreated again to restore her health. But it seems the knight of Deus was not satisfied with that. The man easily shot her with his bow, dealing even more serious damage to her health. Alsira had no choice but to keep running in attempts to regain her vitality.
But was there any point? The Knight of the Moon Shadow retreated and recovered, while the Knight of the Gloomy Sky successfully caught up, successfully peppering her from afar. And this went on until her flask's supplies ran dry.
Realizing she was cornered, Alsira charged forward and engaged in direct confrontation with her opponent. Now there was nowhere left for her to retreat. She and Axel dodged each other's thrusts again and again until the warrior woman from Olivus landed the first successful blow, which, however, did nothing to shake the spirit of the knight of Deus. Nor did Axel take the second successful thrust seriously. He simply kept striking until he hit Alsira again.
And once again the girl had to retreat and try to somehow restore her fighting strength, albeit without the help of her flask. Then she attacked again, and once even managed to wound her opponent. But it no longer mattered. It seemed Axel had grown so tired of it all that he grew angry and put all his strength into a blow that proved to be the final one. The Moon Shadow fell, securing the second victory for the Gloomy Sky.
Note: the wyvern is no less problematic and dangerous an opponent than its rider. Also, it is unclear why Alsira did not try to break her opponent's spirit with her dance? Did she lack the strength, the desire, or the belief that she could shake the spirit of a serious married man?
