Having familiarized himself with the work of the Knight of the Wind, the Knight of Serene Bliss allowed himself to ask Stefania a couple of questions.

- Pray tell me, if it is not too much trouble, milady, how would you have acted in Renavan the Pious's place on the day of his meeting with the mistress of the north, and how do you view the final act of his life?

— Not at all, — Stefania smiled. — I hold the person of Renovan the Pious in high regard, primarily with respect to his theological inquiries and the fact that in the end he attained eternal life not in a physical but in a spiritual sense, through his literary works. Nevertheless, had I dared to undertake a northern expedition, I would most likely have tried to count not on the secret of eternal beauty and youth, but on some mutually beneficial cooperation for Tezoth. That said, I doubt I would have managed to achieve greater results than that wise ruler of the past. After all, Elvielfiria is not known for a great and warm love of humankind. To her, we are more akin to wild cattle.

After a brief pause, the young woman continued answering the knight's questions:

— As for the end of Renovan the Pious's path... If one views it as a double suicide, there is something romantic about it. Feeling that he would never attain his desired goal, he leaves the stage while still fairly young and in the prime of his life, in the embrace of his mistress. On the other hand, I must remind you that after he plunged into the river, no one ever saw him again. What evidence is there that his life ended precisely at that moment? What if it was the very weight of ruling the realm that was the burden preventing Renovan the Pious from living a better life? If one looks at the situation from that angle, it is entirely possible that he not only survived back then, but may be wandering this world to this very day in the guise of a completely different person. Of course, I dare not make bold claims. It is merely an unsubstantiated theory that crossed my mind.
