Despite being buried in battle reports, Stephanie in no way forgot about the erudition contest that ran parallel to the other events. And after the voting at the elegance contest and the ill-fated duel with Lester Vargas, the young woman sat down not to write battle chronicles, but to describe historical eras. It seemed the Knight of Wind used this as a convenient excuse to postpone the account of her shameful defeat.
Essay by Stephanie Valentine on Historical Eras.
The Age of Fire and Steel
The beginning of Tezoth's unification. A time when the foreigner Kanamiya predicted the pains and tragedies that ill-wishers and monsters of regret would bring to our lands. A period when a simple but talented blacksmith from Forun, Eidos the Iron, armed with a hammer of extraordinary power and his own charisma, forged a single nation from scattered city-states.
The task was not an easy one, and not all future regions wished to pledge him their allegiance. But through trial and error, through successful and failed campaigns with considerable losses, the founding father managed to conquer the unruly lands, so that his descendants could later make Tezoth whole. So that today and henceforth, all of us worthy Tezothians could stand side by side against every possible calamity.
The Age of Magic
The time of the first Deus's appearance. The incorporation of the Kanamiyan dominion by the forces of Silia the Benevolent Cortina. The founding of the strategically important Cabochi and Snegality. And above all — the full transformation of the lands into the Kingdom of Tezoth.
One must not forget the founding of the Academy of Magic and the great magical discoveries made by Silia the Benevolent. It is thanks to her reasoning that magic in Tezoth exists in the form it does today. Love, creation, working from one's heart — these are the principles of true mages who bring light to this world to this very day.
And even after Silia the Benevolent's departure, the country continued to flourish, paving the way for the ambitions of the next Deus.
The Age of Luxury
The period when Ceres the Mysterious set off on a long journey, leaving his mark on the history of many lands. The main question: do many of his unofficial descendants truly live in Tisia? Or is that merely a myth?
During his reign, Ceres the Mysterious breathed life into the city of Tenerese Dentset. It is there that the Kon Fortza school originates — rightly the school of the continent's finest fencers.
It is painful to realize that such a great man ended his path in the jaws of a dragon. Not a shameful, but certainly an unjust fate!
The Age of Darkness
A harsh age of the most severe discipline, terrible nutrition, and exiles to Faredjia for any trivial reason whatsoever.
Sanid the Wrathful, perhaps, holds the title of the most disliked Deus by his contemporaries in history. Yet in our time, this ruler gains more and more followers. It seems some people cannot live properly without control by an iron hand.
No matter how cold and cruel the Deus of that age was portrayed, no one can deny that during the formation of the Crater of Regrets and the appearance of the monsters, it was thanks to his command that the people of Tezoth were able to put up a worthy resistance. Sanid the Wrathful was even ready to sacrifice himself for the people's well-being, which shows that despite his harsh whip-hand methods, he did value his people after all.
With the end of this age, the system of power in Tezoth came to the form we know today. On one hand, there is sense in this, as one person cannot and should not single-handedly decide the fate of an entire nation. On the other hand, it seems that among the nobility of those years, selfish motives rather than a desire to build democracy were at play.
The Age of Blue Blood
A time when political technologists knew better what to say and do for the Deus than he himself did. "For everything good, against everything bad" — roughly this can be read in some of Valkhmetra the Brilliant's speeches.
According to some historical documents, Valkhmetra the Brilliant took on the role of a "puppet" not so much out of great desire, but out of the hopelessness of the situation and her inability to prove herself as a talented commander-in-chief. This speaks rather of her wisdom and foresight.
Now in the country, the final word belonged not only to the Deus, but also to his lords. And common people gained the opportunity to prove themselves and rise high up the career ladder. Those who had no ambition to take up arms could afford the luxury of living a simple ordinary life and enjoying the little things.
The Age of Discoveries
At the start of his reign, Renavan the Pious, who did not wish to part with life in the future, found himself one step away from selling his own will and all of Tezoth to the Sithian ruler. But the Deus's wisdom was enough to understand — the game was not worth the candle.
This time is notable for the fact that along with Renavan, the country was consumed by theological pursuits. The development of the Temple of the Dawn Raven in Duskwing, the revelation of Aconism to the people. And even the followers of Ifilla, who seemed to bring destruction to this world, managed to find a secluded corner for themselves in Tezoth.
The search for a suitable confession never yielded the desired result for Renovan the Pious. But this did not stop him from gaining immortality in another sphere — with his own hands he wrote a great many popular books.
The Age of Ambitions
The time when one of the best, shining like the sun, Deus Komajdi the Majestic came to power. Driven not by a thirst for power, but by a desire to make the people happy, this man of many talents managed to prove himself as the greatest leader. It was he who managed to unite the continent by incorporating the Archipelago of Furious Waves into Tezoth.
Unfortunately, the reign of the sun-faced one was short. But even with the loss of Komajdi the Majestic, the country did not fall into stagnation and continued its development. Is this not the main confirmation that the division of power between regional lords in the Age of Blue Blood was an excellent decision?
