"Outrageous! At a tournament, everyone should be on equal footing!" — thought one of the judge's friends, watching the duel.
"Like hell you'll get equal footing in a real fight!" — thought the second friend of the judge, watching as her kin deftly revived battered participants without a single scratch, dreaming of learning to do the same...
The judge herself, having finished "filing the battle report," walked off with a composed face to await the next duel...
The battle proved long and exhausting, even though poor Nelia essentially had no chance from the very start of even scratching Stefania. Nevertheless, the girl approached Joy, who was recovering from the damage she had sustained, without a shadow of self-admiration, to thank her for the fight and ask how she was doing:
