Having finished the first battle and the conversation with Ambrose, Stefania took advantage of the resulting break to keep the chronicles of the past battle. This was her direct duty, which could not be shirked under any circumstances. Except, perhaps, death — that was the only worthy excuse.
05.03.297 — tournament in honor of Deus Mariarnelia's birthday
Battle I
Opponent — Milord Ambrose Turbon, Knight of the Hegemony from Kisgilt, servant of Deus Mariarnelia
Opponent's strengths: black stallion Mordred, clad in armor and horseshoes, armor on the knight himself, masterful lance handling
Weaknesses: does not wield ranged weapons.
The battle began with mutual attempts to knock each other off their mounts. My arrows and I were luckier — the horse Mordred was brought down by two successful shots. Before falling to a single shot, the rider managed to protect his stallion.
On Ambrose's side, there were two attempts to attack Zephyr. Both were successfully dodged.
Taking advantage of the edge gained after Ambrose lost his mount, I managed to land countless shots on the noble warrior until he fell and conceded defeat. Due to Zephyr's obvious speed advantage, the Knight of the Hegemony could no longer make a single attempt to strike me or the pegasus. A clean victory.
Notes: despite the lack of successful hits on me and Zephyr specifically, Knight Ambrose is a mighty warrior to be reckoned with. Under the conditions of a serious, non-training battle, he could show excellent results. He seems to possess some secret techniques that he preferred not to demonstrate in the arena. He is also capable of winning people's hearts with polished rhymes.
