I already told Pestilence about this: that's the nature of the assassin region. Today you arrest or kill her, and tomorrow you find out there were spies in your retinue or among your servants, and that they chopped up family members in retaliation. And here it doesn't even matter whether those spies actually exist or not — the perceived threat is enough to not play with fate without a good reason.

Looks like we'll have to wipe out the entire region to the last man...
