Played with this mod, and the game feels much fresher. At first I was surprised by the changed object models on the map (what is that thing standing there?) and explored them with interest. smile01
I liked almost all of the changes the mod introduces.
I'd like to know a couple of technical details. After patching the game with "LAA.exe", the game starts consuming as much RAM as needed (according to the instructions) — does that mean huge and incredible maps will stop crashing after loading?
Can this mod affect the balance of user scenarios? The thing is, the mod was installed on a clean version of the game, and in one of the scenarios there were custom creatures (dark elementals), which for some reason got replaced by pearl priestesses (probably from the "Samurai's Persistence" campaign). I deleted the game and the mod, reinstalled a clean game, and then the map had dark elementals again.

Thank you for the high praise of NVS! It's very pleasant to read. Regarding nagas in NVS. Pearl priestesses replace the disabled Yetis, and Kensei replace the disabled Black Knights (not to be confused with Death Knights). Obviously, the Dark Elemental in your user scenario is also being replaced by Yetis, but the files in NVS are newer than the files in the scenario you mentioned, so NVS overrides (partially) that scenario. You need to change the date of the files related to dark elementals in that scenario, and then when playing that scenario they will remain there. But there's a catch: in NVS campaigns and in the official campaigns I've edited, dark elementals will appear instead of pearl priestesses. In general, I would advise inserting this scenario into the game only when you actually want to play it. I don't really use NCF in my mod.

Narron, thank you for the response. Could you please elaborate on how exactly to change the file dates and which ones specifically? Or is there a way to selectively restore the original disabled creatures that apparently get replaced in some scenarios? The thing is, I like your mod and want to keep playing with it, but because of it the balance gets broken in some scenarios. Where there should supposedly be a stack of new creatures or a mini-boss, there stands 1 pearl priestess that poses no threat at all.
