Considering that the process will take a long time, and if the person from whom clarification on the situation is required does not respond (as is currently the case with Nebk), then you can start another battle with a different pair of characters in parallel, and put this one on pause until the player returns. I give my consent in advance for an autobattle with everyone; I can't really implement any special tactics anyway. Except maybe with Ples.
