As is often the case with dreams, Kalentia's visions were a rather strange mixture of reality, memories of the past, and subconscious desires. Although she dreamed that she was still a child living in Argalia with her parents, in her dreams, she happily shared with them stories about what she had learned from their family's beloved Uncle Gungnir. Her mother frowned and reminded her that no matter what Kalentia learned, she should still avoid dangers, while her father laughed heartily and noted that now there would be someone to watch over their grocery store and keep unruly customers at bay. But then the dream ended, and, opening her eyes, the girl found herself in reality. Not as bleak as it could have been, but still infinitely far from what she desired.
The baron's decree about the meeting in the forest, although it came as a surprise to the Argalian girl, did not seem strange to her. Most likely, the baron simply decided to arrange another training session for his pupils. Knowing Gungnir's methods, it could even be something like a week-long survival exercise in the forest, with a ban on returning to the city without good reason. But one could speculate endlessly, while it was easier not to make the mentor wait and to appear at the meeting place herself. After combing her hair, getting dressed, washing her face, and reciting a short prayer to Arteria, the girl gathered everything she thought she might need and headed to the meeting place.
