I wouldn't say I expected anything specific, but I was hoping for a sort of hero experience simulator, or at least a decent RPG. Instead, I got a tedious fanfiction about communists and Christians, which relentlessly repeats for the first fifteen minutes how wonderful and non-linear it will be, only to then throw at you the same semi-fixed, banal events where you have to balance between two options to avoid your resources from dwindling 🤣. If you decide to ignore your resources and play according to your own ideas, you'll just be slogging through monotonous daily routines and waiting for this drag to end, because there's nothing interesting in the plot.
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a linear click and play rpg where "choices don't really matter." Although initially appearing to cater to a wide variety of roles and character element progression, players will find the outcome of their playthroughs not guided not at their own constructionism, but rather a manifestation of few end-game scenarios lacking any sense of player control or variety.
