I liked it. The plot (first half), the acting, the direction – everything is simply top-notch. Unfortunately, the second half and the ending are unclear to me. It's obvious that the director wanted to say something with it, but I'm not sure I understand what exactly. What's worse, the communists want to appropriate the ending of the film and are shouting from all sides that the film is about the horrors of capitalism – which may or may not be true, but since they are clearly biased, I cannot rely on their opinion. I wish I had a smart friend who understood the social structure of South Korea and could express their expert opinion....
