Hello. I have the following situation. I have a licensed version from Nival, not Buka. I'm installing patch 3.1 on version 3.0, but it installs incorrectly. The loading screens are reduced to 4:3 instead of 16:9 (my resolution is 1920x1080 on my laptop), the font in the main menu is also compressed, and in the game itself, the right panel has shifted to the left, as if adjusting to a 4:3 resolution. I don't know what to do. The patch is also from Nival. Sorry for not including screenshots. In previous versions 1.6 and 2.1 (also a licensed version from Nival), the patches installed without any problems.
Or, you can manually change it in the file: path to the game ... \Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\profiles\default_profile\user_a2.cfg
