In reality, not all forum members comment in this way, but a certain tendency towards disrespecting other people's work has long been established in the community. Perhaps this isn't as common in map-making, but it used to happen quite often in mod-making.
However, to be fair, I must say that this phenomenon has become much less common than it was a couple of years ago. People are now more likely to provide constructive comments and are more understanding of shortcomings, but unjustified negativity still occurs.

Moreover, the opposite – exclamations of "the map is great!" (which some people used to do) without pointing out any positives – went unnoticed.

Well, why not? I think people definitely noticed it. Of course, it doesn't offer much constructive feedback, but it shows that the audience likes the product, and that's some kind of motivation. At the very least, it doesn't have any negative impact.
