Hello everyone. I can't seem to beat mission 5, no matter what. I'm playing on Recruit difficulty! I'm not a very skilled player, but I enjoy playing Heroes. And I really want to finish this map. Basically, I've tried leveling up through Logistics (Keen Mind), Sorcery, Defense, and then in different ways: Chaos Magic, Luck, Education... I've reloaded saves a million times, but at some point, an enemy hero appears (a Mage with high threat, less often, when I defeat the Mage, a Necromancer and a Dwarf show up right away) and completely destroys me. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone give me some advice? I understand that you all play on Hero difficulty, but maybe someone can suggest something.
Hero development is key! Level up Keen Mind in Logistics, grab Battle to the Last in Defense – that's the foundation. And then everyone levels up differently; some go for Darkness, others for War Machines. I, for example, leveled up Chaos, Education, Sorcery, the default Logistics for Sigrid, and Defense with Battle Doctrine. Then, on the Mentor, I dropped Logistics or Defense and re-skilled into Luck with Lucky Charm – in the end, Devil's Strike dealt 8k damage to the enemies' units! And no Darkness was needed.
By the way, I just finished both Campaigns of the Master and want to express my huge gratitude to him for the work he's done! I can imagine how many scripts he wrote for individual maps; the story is also very engaging! I'd like to see a continuation of Sigrid's adventures or a logical conclusion to the conflict between the forces of Inferno and the Alliance!
