I don't know in what order the author released his maps, but it seems to me that in Breaking Wind and Waves, he already took this into account, and there is a Castle on each location closed to the player, which also contains prisons. Although, as far as I remember, there were no quest heroes that needed to be killed to proceed.
If a hero designer takes on a map like Dark Man, he will definitely be able to handle such mistakes as "not capturing Castles" due to the death of heroes! :)
Yesterday, I was literally on the author's page. If the creation dates of the threads with his maps are to be believed, then the first two maps are Breaking Wind and Waves (2011) and Southern and Northern War (2011). The 3rd map was made in 2013 - Blood Volcano, which I just started playing.
Heroes on the Wasteland - a map from 2014 (I liked it, even very much). Dark Man is from 2016.
The author definitely stated that his first two maps are Breaking Wind and Waves and Southern and Northern War, and the 3rd is Blood Volcano.
It turns out that, on average, 1 great map takes 1-1.5 years to create + community testing, then corrections, etc.
I can say that, in addition to the map designer Woxin, I can name another favorite Chinese creator - wklhy.
