It's just not the first time I've seen this joke, and every time I see it, it's from people who, to some extent, have previously complained about "depression," and who are men. It feels like these people, along with the "funny" context, are trying to show how difficult it is for them – even though they haven't actually done what's in the picture. This topic and my personal experience are certainly anecdotal evidence, but they suggest the opposite.
