Dandy is annoyed that I encountered a pure combinatorial problem involving enumeration, where the solution space consists of millions of possibilities. This is the foundation of cryptanalysis and the RSA method. Knowing the product of two numbers makes it practically impossible, even for a supercomputer, to calculate the factors within a timeframe of less than thousands of years by simply trying all possible combinations. And I'm not even claiming to be able to handle even a simple enumeration with my current skills. Therefore, yes, the problem of a large number of options is indeed a serious one, and it cannot be treated so carelessly.
