Map: 之旅 (Journey) version BT
Author: unknown, date too

The map is corridor-style, static, I recommend it to fans of Wayfarer and Jennifer, I like maps like this
I'd rate the map 7-8/10
Completed it in 11 months, though it could be done much faster
Don't judge too harshly) my first review.
I found this map in a large archive of Chinese maps. After reading reviews here by kolotok I got inspired to find a map with no walkthrough and beat it purely on skill, so to speak a challenge, thanks to him for that) The locations on this map are a rework of the Jedi story map. but in my opinion it's more interesting and harder than the original. Spoilers ahead.

Basically we start as Dragon with 6 heroes. In the starting save the sizes of the conservatories on the respawn are important, by the way the starting respawn is 1 to 1 exactly like in Jedi, from artifacts only the axe and + morale and luck are available, I generated 14 angels in 4 conservatories and the axe, because on the respawn there's a trinket for +3 morale and luck, I'm attaching the save if anyone's interested. Skills are preset: water, earth, wisdom, tactics, archery, and intelligence, near the castle there are 2 huts with logistics and pathfinding. Atypical absence of fights for knowing mechanics at the start. Also like in Jedi, 1 arch joins us and the first castle is taken on auto-battle without losses. Everything there builds itself, except for the upgraded portal, but there's a fort nearby. Then slow is immediately available and a conservatory with 3 angels is taken, Roland is freed, who will be stuck on this respawn for a long time, because you can only get out of it via water walking, and there's only one of those for now, Roland will ride from the external dwelling of monks to the external dwelling of angels, you can level him a bit so he upgrades earth and takes wisdom. I'll say right away it's better to keep all money bags and the cornucopia on Dragon since they are from quest guards, out of ignorance I gave everything to Roland and then had to go back losing tempo, not critical, but still. In Jedi, the medal of vulnerability and earth КЗ were immediately available on the respawn, which made the map very easy. I'll add that the spirit of despair is only available on the map in one copy and will be usable for 1 battle max and will eventually surrender to the guard, so enemies will have morale, but we will too, so a lot depends on RNG. The mana doubler is present on the respawn, blindness is in the shrine, so Dessa is beaten via blindness. For Dessa we get 120 monks, goodies and reinforcements arrive at the castle so there are no money problems in the beginning. After Dessa we need to boost Turis, I'm attaching screenshots, probably the only fight on the map where I used terrain features, I only lost griffins there, then the crystals are broken through, the second castle is taken and immediately the third and the tower, there's no resurrection so you either have to split the archangels or lose very few wizards. After the first tower, 1 azure joins us (who until almost the very end will only block the gate or take retaliations (I remembered Paragon and Vael with his self-sacrifice)) and earth КЗ will be available, guarded by 1k black knights and 50k diamond golems, everything is kited but misclicks are not advisable, I recommend using hd+ and sod sp, because fights are long and it's more convenient. After the КЗ there are two swamps where we'll catch morale, the fight with Andra was very hard because her mana can't be exhausted and she has sacrifice, she resurrects the rust dragon, I spent a long time finding the right setup where I could stand on a corpse after morale. Then we free Crag Hack (without archery and with a female portrait) who will be the powerhouse until the very late game. He has 100 behemoths and a small stack of titans and a second КЗ, which will add a bit of mobility to the map. The core of our army is archangels, behemoths, titans, wizards, poor azure, and I ran with 2 genies, the horses, which sometimes join us in numbers up to 1k, were sold for money, the cyclopes and chickens went the same way for gems and money. Both КЗ will surrender to quest guards but they'll give us resurrection and town portal from the seers. YES, like in many Chinese maps, all paths and artifacts are hidden, so I used prospector and editor. Further along the progression we get frenzy, and on this map I often used the double frenzy tactic on archangels in the first round to remove a couple of interfering stacks, Crag Hack's ability and the archangel stack itself allow us to do this. Many fights follow the known tactic of reducing ammo and mana then resurrecting and shooting from behind force field. Sometimes I didn't take the whole army, because there's no clone yet and mana might not be enough to resurrect everyone. Wall-to-wall fights are harder, we don't fight everyone in the castle, some nearby, the terrain doesn't matter, it's fixed, we fight where we are and how we are, some don't get blinded, I had to leave a small stack of shooters or no-retaliation units if the enemy didn't get blinded, to resurrect. Mana is enough, doublers are almost everywhere. After taking the 3rd swamp, you can assemble the Cloak of the Undead King, don't rush to turn it in right away, because there's a quest guard for it almost immediately. First, behind this quest guard there are 2 more, one we can open and the second we'll open much later, and problems with money and gems start, money piles on the map run out, and the treasury will only be available at the endgame, in short I farmed skeletons wherever possible, as there are many locations and neutrals, a ton of events, a fort near the castle, plus we freed a couple more heroes, Melody with literacy and Dragon from the swamp (just like in Jedi, 640 basilisk and wyverns each, but they were exchanged for money, 1k hydras don't join), as in Jedi he opened a couple of quest guards, but they don't fight, only Crag Hack fights, Dragon beats neutrals and farms skeletons. Enemy armies grow, in the late game they sometimes seem critical but once the key is found they are beaten, a lot depends on RNG, so replays will be frequent. After taking the Cloak of the Undead King and breaking through Kilgor, we finally get clone and resurrection gets more fun. Yes, I'd like to add: I never used hypnosis on the map, didn't find such fights, and enemies don't have the clairvoyance trinket, if it doesn't get blinded, it's because of the courage badge, meaning it can't be hypnotized, in short I didn't use the hypnosis tactic. Of the combination artifacts there are all, the statue will be with us for a short time, which will help growth, but then we'll turn it in and immediately the second one obtained, the elixir of life we'll also turn in right away, we'll use the alliance a bit but turn it in too, Armor of the Damned will appear in the late game and be a key artifact. YES, as in all similar Chinese maps, taverns are absent everywhere except for one swamp, where Tazar sits, whom you first need to punch and then immediately hire, after first splitting up with someone and inviting Tazar, otherwise he wouldn't appear in the tavern, near this same swamp there's an external tavern accessible only to Tazar, but you can't hire anyone there. I don't know why, but that's how it is. Our Tazar is level 59, but stat-wise he's still behind Crag Hack, about a month was spent visiting all the stat boosters, could have been faster. There's no such abundance of trees on the map as in Jennifer, where you can easily level to zero, but after studying the editor I found 5 events with 70k azures you can break through, by that time the army allows shooting them with titans and heroes through double force field. In short, first with Tazar I visited the stat boosters, fought a bit, broke through those 5 events and went to collect all the trees, leveling up to exactly 88, which was enough. On the map you can dig up the Grail but you can't place it in the Flux, nor in the Rampart, though by that time we already have a castle with a Colossus, so we have morale anyway but there's nowhere else to place it, and it doesn't appear near the starting castle like in Jedi (here it's dug up), but only appears in the late game, almost immediately after Tazar's first fight it can be dug up. The first fight will be Múlih, followed by Nella, generally easy fights. The fight with Mutare Drake and 2k of each dragon type turned out easy, because she has no stats, no mana, in short either an oversight or intentional, after Nella you can get another 100 azures from the seer (finally it's not 1)))) Next is the fight with Xeron (screenshot included), at times I thought I would never beat him, I couldn't break through him for a long time, he has 2 single-hex stacks of 5k devils and 7k efreets, trying to kill them to then hide behind FF and shoot under frenzy, by that point I was being shot by his titans and eaten by behemoths with hydras. I was already thinking of writing here, dropping the save and asking for help, but I managed it myself. In short, the screenshots show my army at that time, the wyverns were not necessary, the idea was to catch their ability on the top titan stack, but it turned out simpler, the wyverns removed the retaliation from that stack, I don't remember what the enemy cast but nothing critical, plus we already have Armor of the Damned, and many copies at that, but not the point, the wyverns removed retaliation, the azures blew up the phoenixes and tanked, archangels wait, our titans shoot the top titan stack, behemoths hit the titans, about 3k remain, then double frenzy on the wizards and I had 170 of them left, all the enemy infantry attacked the azure, he endured all their pokes but died on the last one, and Xeron doesn't get blinded by the way. So archangels after waiting resurrect the azures so they tank in the second round, titans finish off the top stack, and behemoths hit the second stack as much as they can, reducing their number as much as possible, our task is to wait with the archangel and place a force field near his cart and hide, and use the archangel clone to take out the devil and efreet stacks, while resurrecting ourselves and first reducing the titan stack to a minimum. Xeron has explosion magic so we endure his explosion until his mana runs out. Turned out easy. After Xeron there's an interesting fight with Grindan in the Flux without a moat, meaning the known tactic of destroying the catapult won't help, but it's generally easy there, the main thing is to take out the titans, fairy dragons, and sharpshooters, then hide behind FF with the archangel and loop him into wasting mana so he doesn't blind, but first buffs himself, which is easy to do. YES, I remembered, either the author forgot to remove the quest 100k wood from Jedi or left it intentionally to trade due to the lack of a treasury, but I had no money problems thanks to the Cloak of the Undead King. though I still traded it for money when I got the treasury. Another feature of the map is the complete absence of the medal of vulnerability and berserker. Even for the final. We play without them, which adds interest. There's a battle against Malekith of an over-high level, he can be blinded, the main thing is not to miss the moment due to animation speed when he puts up a shield and not to run into him with behemoths, as they scatter instantly))) 3 second-to-last heroes are Mephala, Gundula, and Orrin, all of them went through a mountain of exp events and have over-high levels, I can't check even with sod sp, in short I don't know their level but something close to 828 or higher. The first attempt to go against Mephala with behemoths, archangels, titans, wizards, and a hundred azures with 2 genies for buffs ended in failure, she's unbreakable at all, well 2.6k behemoths took out 70 black dragons max, I couldn't outlast her, so I played using the cow clone, they burned her))) With Gundula the main thing is that she doesn't catch morale, otherwise she can be blinded, easy fight. With Orrin it seemed like you could outlast him, but he has 4500 each of titans, zealots, sharpshooters, wizards, magi, and liches, and 1200 azures, and he has the Sphere of INHIBITION, I tried sacrificing Roland to him with a bunch of artifacts like elemental spheres, elixir, etc., but he flat out refused to take it off. I encountered this for the first time, a second-to-last fight without magic. Here losses were inevitable, the question is who and how many to lose, I had to not take wizards at all, because they'll be needed for the final, even with morale of archangels and azures I only killed two shooter stacks, and then his Armor of the Damned limited my mobility and I couldn't reach the titans with behemoths, so I lost 300 behemoths, 400 archangels, and 100 azures, turned out not critical. After killing Orrin you can take 300 and 200 azures and go to the final against Moandor with 3k of each dragon type, generally easy, the main thing is to take out the fairy dragons and azures, then with archangels and wizards behind FF and frenzy.
RESULT 285 days (could be faster if not messing around) and 490 points. The map clicked, I recommend it again to fans of corridors). Also there's a location like in Wayfarer where parts of the Titan's Thunder are lying around, I don't know the date and who copied who, though maybe the author is the same one)
P.S. recommend similar maps, preferably Chinese, Brave People, Road to Rage or something like that I know, already played. Ahest's mystery I started, Wayfarer is the same, just different locations, though they're essentially the same just in different places on the map. I've played almost everything on this list
