Here's another possible scenario, although it's a bit of a complex one. Perhaps Inar was setting a trap for himself, figuring that if the Mafia came after him, they would die from the bomb and be unable to do anything. But that would mean that the previous night, Inar was still setting the bomb, rather than isolating himself. He might even have been setting it on himself again, hoping to isolate himself the following night and set the detonation for the night after that. But that's a very risky, although amusing, style of play.
