Teikoku Kagekidan

I find it difficult to perceive contests on forums as something competitive, where you need to strive for victory with all your might. Half of the participants (including myself) simply rate based on their own tastes, whether they like it or not, and the other half adjusts their ratings by a point or two based on their own preferences. It's too subjective and unpredictable a system without clear criteria; the themes themselves are vague, and the contestants are very diverse. I perceive the voting purely as a fun addition, an incentive to listen to/watch everything submitted, express my Very Valuable Opinion on each participant, and then look at the result of the collective unconscious and just laugh.
