You have the same situation with the samurai as you had with the Nozenrots in Erathia. As others have correctly pointed out, the reason for their unpopularity is their extreme overpoweredness, not because we particularly encountered them in battle. Although, to some extent, the latter point is related to the understanding of this fact – in the same Tiarael, we didn't take one specific quest for this very reason.
