As a teenager, Kolya loved music, books, and fantasy games. At the age of 12, he began to seriously play the acoustic guitar and even won several district competitions while in school. After entering university, Kolenka still considered playing the guitar a hobby and planned to study to become a programmer so that he could later create fantasy games about the elves of the Arandor Forest. But when he met fellow students who were into partying, girls, and alcohol on a large scale during his first year, his naive desires took a backseat. In his second year, Nikolai met a drummer at the department who was two years older than him, and together with him and another guy from their class, they formed an indie rock band called "Dragon and Cat," or simply "DIK" for fans. In a year, they achieved quite good success at the local level, and they were even invited by an indie agency to record an album. They released it, but unfortunately, due to creative differences within the group and a lack of inspiration from Kolya, who was already tired of this lifestyle, their debut album, "Sky in the Morning," failed and did not bring them any fame. And although his bandmates wanted to continue performing, no matter what, Kolya decided that he had had enough. He had already dropped out of university at that point but didn't want to return to his parents, so he rented a small room on the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Kolya sincerely believed that he would be better off without the band, that they were only distorting his perception of himself and music, and that as an independent artist, he could achieve much more. Therefore, he created a music channel on YouTube, where he recorded covers of various folk and fantasy tunes, and also periodically uploaded his own songs. One of them, "Master and Cop," even garnered a decent number of views! However, the meager earnings from YouTube and donations were clearly not enough for a normal life, and his part-time job at the local comic book store, "Heroist!," had become tiresome. So, Kolya returned to drugs and one day decided to try something stronger. That's how he overdosed and almost died. His parents, unfortunately, found out about it and almost forcibly brought him back to live with them and then sent him for treatment in Switzerland, to the well-known psychologist, Dr. Schmertloifer
