Voice-based gameplay is a completely different format that doesn't appeal to everyone, even aside from the social aspects. It's not the same as writing a detailed, lengthy post, rewriting the same paragraph several times. On top of that, there's also the logistical aspect: the need to decide on the time and length of sessions, which, given busy schedules and different time zones, doesn't seem very realistic. At best, you can gather 5-6 people.
