What about the opinion that the coolest works of art are those that are good for children? And if you write (it was about writers) for adults, then you're just mediocre?

I'm hearing this opinion for the first time. I, for example, love "Neznaika on the Moon," but I definitely wouldn't call it the coolest work of art. And in general, children have terrible taste, so I don't see anything great in trying to cater to their tastes.
