How do I create an artifact based on an existing one?

Here's what will affect all maps, and that's a problem; I wouldn't want to corrupt the game files. However, the question is this: if you open data.pak with WinRAR, you won't be able to edit the internal files (you can't open them with Notepad, and the Internal Viewer doesn't allow editing). How can you change them in that case?

Don't worry, the mods that will be in your map will disappear as soon as you place the map on your desktop. You can safely "corrupt the game files."

If you are going to make modifications specifically in your data, then this modification will not be in the map.

I don't understand why you can't edit the xdb files with Notepad...
