In many ways, the young man reminded the Sorceress of a younger version of Baron Kraffmeyer, being an idealist who inspired those around him with his optimism. A person capable of maintaining the morale of their group in such a difficult hour. At the same time, like Rogdan, these qualities could push him towards excessively heroic and selfless actions, and the other members of the group would only have to follow such a leader. The only restraining factor here would be Cleona, whose opinion on various issues would directly affect the decisions of Mr. Lunawhite. Fortunately, the young man was well aware of this fact, and therefore refused. It is even possible that his beloved also had a hand in making such a decision, not wanting Yuisis to get into trouble for the foolishness committed by one of his subordinates.
But, one way or another, this posed the question to the "Golden Griffin" of who would lead its forces in this situation. Sylphida and Julius, not being official members of the organization, were immediately ruled out. It's a little unfortunate, considering that the latter's rich experience would be very useful here. On the other hand, with her ambitions and desire to climb the social ladder, the need to take on such responsibility would sooner or later arise before her. And this case was a good opportunity to gain experience in this matter. And it is easier for a group leader to make a name for himself than for one of the ordinary members - success could open up wide opportunities for her.
