I don't like Ents in any of the games for some reason. They seem okay, but I just don't find them appealing as creatures. I don't like them. Dragons, on the other hand, were definitely better in Heroes 3; the ones here aren't particularly impressive in their base form, but the upgraded ones are simply beautiful, in my opinion.
Ents are beautiful, but there's no way to depict them beautifully in a way that makes them look like majestic trees. Since their size is limited, that's why we have these "puppet-like" Ents instead. But the Ents in Heroes 3 turned out better. In Heroes 5, the Ent-Barbarian looks great; I don't like the Ancient Ent because of its yellow leaves, it doesn't look very good, and the regular Ent looks like an alien, like a log on stilts from the beta, but overall they look pretty good.
