Rogdan and Fay, following Vice-Captain Celestia Coriander of the city guard, pass one guard post after another, bypass several well-fortified forts, receive permission from one commander and then from another, until finally they find themselves at the threshold of the Amethyst Palace. Leaving the baron and heroine alone with the guards, she went inside to report their arrival, and after about 20 minutes, they were allowed to enter the throne room.
— My job here is done, — Celestia announced. — Allow me to thank you for your initiative, and may Artery help you succeed in this noble endeavor.
After saluting, she left in the direction from which they came, and one of the guards asked if they were ready to proceed.
