“I am glad to meet you, and I apologize for interrupting your important work,” the baron said with a brief bow. “I will try to be brief. As my comrade said, this morning we learned of a terrible tragedy that has shaken this wonderful city. And although we have not had the honor of knowing Lady Vivian Air el Sufir personally,” he glanced at his companions, “we have only witnessed her amazing performances at the church, which was enough to ignite a flame of grief and indignation in our hearts. That is why, as the leader of our group, I would like to know if we can offer any assistance in this matter. I understand that such a request may seem foolish, as you undoubtedly have plenty of strong warriors, good healers, and professional detectives, but I still felt it was my duty to make this request.”
While Rogdan was probably going on about helping the hospitable city and showing his good intentions, or simply left the negotiations to his companions to test their eloquence (who knows?), Mirastir cautiously mentioned Lian Fay’s unique healing abilities.
“You are aware that people die when they are killed, right?” Celestia looked intently at Lian Fay. “May I ask who you are? A talented time mage, an unknown priestess, or…?”
Instead of answering, Lian Fay looked at Rogdan, awaiting his instructions.
