In my opinion, if someone comes to the lobby without a game rating just to hang out and play, it's not that important, as long as they're present at the event. But if, despite this, they claim to participate with a competitive motivation, it won't be difficult for them to win the qualifying round, for which, I think, no money will be charged, unlike participation in the main stage of the tournament.

But what if someone comes to the CIS event every year and highly values the opportunity to play with their friend in an offline tournament – it reminds them of their youth, with the difference that now they're playing with one of the strongest players? And they didn't know that this year, for the first time, there would be a qualifying tournament. Could they be disappointed?

P.S. I'm not discussing the meaning of the selection process in general, but I can understand the disappointment.
