Well, firstly, I usually come up with character designs in my mind, and then I look for pictures to match them, not the other way around. So, the search would be problematic either way. Even if we ignore the fact that using well-known characters feels wrong and like clones, I can't imagine anyone else. And this is only made worse in cases where the character belongs to a race with a not entirely typical appearance (and isn't a typical orc, elf, or dwarf) or, for any other reason, has a very unusual appearance. Finding artwork for the latter is often impossible. It's strange that I have to explain such obvious things. And this isn't the first time, which is noteworthy.
