The bare minimum goal of any organization that isn't fanatically evil (and doesn't have political goals) is to make money in a thriving country that needs workers, which is the situation we find ourselves in. In our case, this means fulfilling contracts, plus likely some additional mechanic in the form of production (a stat that increases productivity + the "vibes" of Tiaral). Any character would be suitable for such an organization. The "rules" in this case boil down to the simplest common sense of joint cooperation. If you have questions about specific cases, such as, "will we burn down an orphanage if we get paid for it?", we can discuss these specifics right now without any problems. I, for example, wouldn't burn it down.

is he openly a slave owner or not?
Of course. And I don't see any reason why this should bother anyone. Servants certainly wouldn't bother you, even if they weren't paid a single penny.
And what does "open" or "closed" mean? Keeping slaves in a closet or wearing them as scarves over their collars? Nonsense.
