Business comes before personal preferences. We, as player characters, can handle almost any task without much mental effort, except for those that are completely absurd or could have negative long-term consequences (like those that are clearly problematic from a legal standpoint). And if some random person demands that we show all our certificates before giving us a task, we can say anything to get them to pay up. Or we can just ignore them if they are a fanatic.
