When you go to work, the color of the wallpaper in the office isn't that important.

If we spend an hour trying on shoes in a supermarket, checking if they're comfortable, if they pinch anywhere, or if the heel rubs, then it's even more important here.

I was going to write about my experience "choosing shoes" in stores because I have feet of different sizes, but maybe it's better not to mention it... But I don't even know what that says about me in the context of your allegory...
