If you're just doing some manual labor, sports aren't necessary, yes, but if you're tired of the "general" fatigue from pseudo-intellectual work and from life in general, it's a different story. And then there's the health aspect. When significant physical exertion becomes impossible... yes, the only option is suicide, for us, the pathetic losers. But while we can still drag ourselves around, we can see salvation in this endless grind, if there's no other way. Or, you can go the "Vasya-style" route: two days of enduring and working, one day of drinking, one day of sleeping – you just keep going, but, in my opinion, you'll burn out even faster.
