Battle of the Celestial Gates

I've started playing, and unfortunately, I have a few observations: a) Please synchronize the animations; the lightning strike takes a second or two, and then the devil dies – it's a bit jarring. b) The knight hero has a speaking animation, and Frida has 3 different ones (nervous, calm, solemn), but why are they waving their swords and shields with their mouths closed? c) 7 main heroes – I think that's too many. Not only do I not know which ones to level up (maybe mentoring will help), but I also need to find a place for all the heroes. I guess I'll have to play as Cain (he leveled up after the battles) or Zehir, taking advantage of his special ability, because demoralizing enemy troops with heroes of evil races will be enjoyable. Fayedan's special ability is useless without a lot of archers. Well, I'm starting the walkthrough.
