The hangman has a cool token by the way. Nilfgaardian tricks have reached SHV too, imagine that; I even felt like giving it a try.
Meanwhile in Gwent:
I'll be opening these for a long time because I didn't really follow the reveals, and I plan to play; there are quite a few cards to read. I should have done this earlier, of course, but I was busy grinding the journey to level 100 (yes, I also bought the premium path; Gwent finally talked me into donating, which SHV never managed). Ideally, I wouldn't have had to do this if I played regularly, but I was lazy for two months, and in the end, I had to grind during the last week, making it just under the wire. Overall, I'm satisfied; I had a good time playing despite the strange quests, grabbed all the goodies, premiums (animated cards), customizations, and so on.
Speaking of premiums, I want to note that in Gwent, I like animated cards much more than in SHV, where, as Revan correctly put it,
it's some kind of golden rain (smirk) and once in a thousand times - a wink.
Although SHV has certain advantages, namely - bug-free updates and the presence of an ongoing story mod (there is a Blood Feud plot with its own gwent, but that's a full separate paid game), after Gwent I can no longer take SHV seriously; gameplay-wise it is much deeper and more diverse, and the balance is an order of magnitude better. Of course, in recent times SHV has introduced a bunch of various keyword mechanics, but most of them are just repetitions of what decks were already doing, so they don't bring anything fundamentally new and therefore aren't very interesting. I'd rather deal with bugs in Gwent than return to active play in SHV. But broken Gwent updates are certainly something else; they never cease to amaze... An expansion pack comes out, but the shop is closed due to technical problems, and players can't buy the long-awaited barrels with new cards - 10/10 release! Fortunately, such game-breaking problems are fixed quickly.
Also, for once I decided to play through the third Witcher and tried gwent there. Compared to the standalone version, the original gwent turned out to be a light amusement for me ) Only thing is, I haven't played gwent in Blood Feud yet; apparently, it has its own difficulty level.
