Yes, I have familiarized myself with Heroes of Might and Magic 5.5. In my opinion, the class/skill system is a mess – everything is given to everyone, all heroes are the same, and there is a linear skill progression scheme, which is strange because in Heroes of Might and Magic 5.5, there are 8 skill slots.
With such potential, the idea is to introduce new skills, not to distribute racial skills to everyone.
There are, for example, such wonderful perks from Might and Magic IV, as Nobility and Summoning. This is a perfectly feasible theme to implement with scripts. And, as an option: a Ranger starts with Avenger, having a chance to gain Summoning (not Summoning magic), and a Druid starts with Summoning, having a chance to gain Avenger.
