I played a bit on this map. My impressions: the map is good and quite playable, BUT:
1. It's very long in terms of gameplay time, and it's a bit stressful and lengthy for online play. As they say, you'll be playing until morning.
2. There are too many quests, just too many. You still won't be able to complete them all in a duel, especially the one at the bottom of the map, near the Azure Dragons. By the time you develop and collect the most useful quests, it's already time to attack your opponent, or he'll come to you. Even without these quests, the game lasts more than 2 months. You can finish it in less time, but then it will be a game without quests.
3. For me, the most important question is: why are all the starting skills of the red player's starting hero replaced with Expert Wisdom? Why, if the 3rd tier doesn't appear until the second month? It turns out that there's no point in choosing a hero at all – they will all be like identical twins, only with different names ;) Oh, almost forgot, the blue player doesn't have this privilege; that is, his starting hero has normal secondary skills. Is this how it's supposed to be? If so, why? :smile32:
You've certainly made the Sniper a formidable opponent :) I would rather face 5-9 Angels than 55 Snipers. It's very difficult to defeat them with slow-moving units without tactics. Difficult, I mean, in the 2nd week, starting without forts. And it's boring to stay in the same place for 3 weeks, especially if you've already cleared your entire territory.
Whatever the case, the map is good – well done. How much time did you spend creating it? The fact that we (and I in particular :) ) are criticizing it here is normal. It's impossible to create a perfect map on the first try. Every map needs to be tested extensively with different factions, and then the flaws will become apparent. I would add a witch hut with tactics or a dwelling for fast monsters to block the snipers, or a pylon with a teleport spell to the starting wisdom, somewhere near the castle. This would add more variety to the starting strategies.
Yes, and one more thing: although it's most difficult for the Necromancer to defeat the Snipers, playing against the Necromancer on this map is pointless :). More than 3000 skeletons means the game is over.
