Hi!

Well, while replaying the unforgettable maps by samatron, I inevitably got hooked on this one too. I played it almost from scratch, as quite a lot of time had passed since my previous playthrough, so I didn't remember anything, and I didn't even look at my previous comment.

Here's my new review:

1. The initial development was quite long, and it was only with the hydras, upgraded from griffins, that I managed to get out of the rut. After that, the army expansion was also not very fast, along with exploring the seas, etc.

2. During the game, I encountered my first enemy - the blue player. I defeated one of his heroes right away, and then I saw Nagash... My first impression was, "Oh, this is going to be tough" - he was hanging out with 1000+ dragons, vampires, and other creatures, while my army was significantly weaker at that point, although the skills were roughly equal. Well, I continued to build up my army and strength. Later, after gathering for a new campaign, I gradually started taking his lands, and even attacked him a couple of times - unsuccessfully. I also reached the other imprisoned heroes, and even managed to defeat the orange player and free Catherine; I liked her gift. But I still needed to do something else. After gathering an even more powerful army, I began to systematically eliminate all the blue players. In the end, I managed to defeat the remaining necromancer, but I lost almost my entire multi-thousand army in the process (only the mega-powerful cavalry (oh, Turis :smile26:) and the supreme archangels survived).

3. After that, I suddenly remembered that there was a scroll - so I went and took it :smile04:. Initially, I almost immediately found it, barely making it into the Dungeon, but Nagash was a problem, and I got carried away with fighting him. In short, I fell for the typical quest "defeat one, go further to another" :smile44:. So, I returned a bit late, but I could have avoided such a long war.
In general, after obtaining the scroll, the path to the finale became much shorter. The location of the island was already known, so the campaign ended quickly.
Hi! I've seen all your comments on the maps. I've read them all, and I'm very grateful to you for that. And of course, it motivates me to create new ones. So, because of the quarantine, I'm stuck in Russia and have some free time. Therefore, I've dedicated some time to playing the game, and I've also returned to my maps that I created earlier. There are two maps that are almost ready; I'm now going to start testing them, and thanks to my vacation, I'll be able to do that. And of course, I'll definitely upload at least one of them to the website. I'm very glad that a game that was released in 1999 is still relevant and people are still playing it. I'm glad that with my maps, I can give myself and others the invaluable opportunity to get a new experience from the game I love and extend the joy of interacting with it.
Int - I'm grateful to you for the detailed comments on the maps. You probably understand that I can no longer edit them as the author because more than 3 months have passed, and according to the forum rules, only moderators can edit them at my request. Sometimes I even forget what idea I had when creating them. Often, I have to open the map to remember everything again. Right now, I have 2 maps that are 90% done and 2 that need to be tested. I will try my best to upload them to the website. And as always, I wish you good luck in your playthrough! And the comments that not everyone writes, but most people only read, help to get feedback. This is sometimes important. Thank you for that!
