Interesting. I'm hearing about this for the first time. I think it's up to the players to decide – it depends on how they agree. Playing with an ally always has its own nuances – and what difference does it make whose colors the hero plays under? You can take something and probably give it back, right? And if you don't give it back, are you really allies? :) In my opinion, you don't get any advantages in that case, so you can consider it a quirk... That's my opinion.
